Happy Easter!

What a busy day we had! I took these pictures Friday (when the sun was out) to show off Evan's Easter outfit. I love dressing my son! And I know my days of doing that are numbered, so I'm milking it for all it's worth. ;)

A very GOOD Friday

Evan colored Easter eggs for the first time yesterday! I know, it sounds terrible that we haven't done it until now - but it just hasn't worked out until this year. For a boy, I think it's funny that he doesn't really like to get his hands dirty. He kept "wiping" his hands on the plastic tablecover after handling the freshly dyed eggs. Luckily we only did one dozen - he was tired afterwards, but very proud of his masterpieces!

Oh - and if you're noticing a messy mouth, it's because Mommy treated him to a donut of his choice from Safeway (where we had to drive to buy eggs first!)

Evan got to spend the ENTIRE day with his cousin Chante. He was very excited and happy to have such a wonderful, loving playmate! Here are some photos of all of "the kids" playing Dinosaur Bingo.

First Movie Theater Experience

We took Evan to see his first movie in a theater. "Horton Hears A Who" was, fortunately, a VERY cute movie - that captured all of our attention. Evan sat still almost the entire time, asked questions, and laughed at a lot of scenes. (The only time he wasn't sitting, he stood up and said he was stretching. It was very cute). Success!! The next movie he says he wants to see is "Wall-E", a new Disney flick coming out in June.

"Frere Jacques"

Evan has been VERY interested in the piano lately. Each night I teach him a new song, and last night it was "Frere Jacques". I'm pretty dang proud of him!
It will probably be at least another year until lessons though - I want to make sure he has the attention span....

Dress Me Up

For the first time EVER - Evan decided he wanted to play dress-up. Only here's the twist: he wanted to play with Daddy! Ryan was quite entertained finding outfits for Evan - looks like they both had a great time!
