Leaves!

Sunday afternoon, we played at Fisher Basin Park (where Evan's 3rd birthday party was). After almost losing him on the playground, we decided to walk the perimeter of the park & school. Evan crammed as many leaves into both hands as he could, then tried to flap his wings. It was so cute! The final picture is his imitation of a turkey. (If you're questioning us losing him: he decided to quietly walk away while Ryan and I were having a conversation. He spotted a little family in the field playing football, and decided he wanted to join them. Yes, it took our breath away for a few seconds there!)

Bubble Bath Fun

I gave Evan a bubble-bath tonight - and he decided to be Santa Claus. Then he wanted to make ME Santa Claus too... Ho Ho Ho! (A bit early, I know)

Last Chance Outdoor Fun

We took advantage of probably one of the last sunny, relatively warm days and spent some time outside. Evan is an expert trike rider - and a little daredevil too. He loves to find "hills" to free-fall down, and it's so cute seeing his little legs pedaling so fast! He found a caterpillar (thankfully he didn't squish it this time), and rode through a forest of "helicopters". We strolled through the neighborhood and enjoyed everyone's Halloween decorations, the crisp air, and the sunlight on our faces. One of those great evenings outdoors!

Swimmer's Cap?

Oh no - I wish. Fly's head? Looks like it, doesn't it? This is what I walked into when I came upstairs to see what was taking so long. Ryan gave Evan a bath, and when Evan wouldn't cooperate with getting his pajamas on, well, Ryan got creative....

"Tigger Tail"

Mid-air
Boing!
"I'm tired now."
We spent a couple of hours at Toys R Us today - and found a "Hopper" for Evan. You know, one of those big bouncy balls with a handle? The kids hold onto the handle and bounce.... Well, as soon as Ryan inflated it, Evan excitedly says, "Wow! This sure is a GREAT toy you bought me, Mommy and Daddy!" After a couple of minutes of bouncing around, he proudly exclaims, "Hey! I'm just like Tigger! And this is my Tigger Tail!"

Harvest Party

Saturday, we hosted a Halloween/Harvest Party at our house. We invited our playgroup families and had some fun activities for the kids, including pumpkin painting and cookie decorating. We hope everyone had a good time - we did!

Bizi Farms Field Trip

Evan & Mommy

Have no idea who the man at the end of the tunnel is...

Making sure he'll fit

Evan & Brody searching

That's the one!

Thursday, Evan's preschool did a field trip to Bizi Farms Pumpkin Patch. Ryan took the morning off so he could join us. It was great! The kids started out in the Bale Maze, then moved on to the petting area (cows, piglets, goats, a donkey, etc.). Evan liked the straw pyramid and all of the holes he could crawl through. Then we took a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch where he and his friend Brody searched for pumpkins together. After we returned, he got to wash his pumpkin. Then, the three of us went to lunch. What a busy and fun morning!
