"A Divided By"

Just had to share this cute thing. Yesterday morning, I took the boys grocery shopping. Before we even left the house, we had a screaming baby (yes, he does fuss every now and then), an emergency bathroom visit (complete with clogged toilet), and an already frazzled Mommy. But I was bound and determined to get the grocery shopping done because we had procrastinated the weekend away.

I thought to myself, "Oh Lord, I'm in for it - going grocery shopping NOW, when all signs point to a chaotic disaster - but here goes...."

And it went beautifully!! Jaren was happy as a clam in his little padded shopping cart cover, and Evan walked so calmly and helpfully put things into the cart. When we got in the car, I sighed a HUGE sigh of relief and said to Evan, "Hey Evan, your behavior was excellent! You had A+ behavior!" (We're into the whole grading system thing for behavior now - mostly started as a joke, but Evan likes it).

Anyway, he agreed with me and said, "Yeah, Mommy. I'm really proud of myself! Is A+ the best? I don't think so. I think A (DIVIDED BY) should be the VERY best. So, my behavior was A (DIVIDED BY)!!"

I just love how literal he still is. :)

The Past Few Days...

On Monday:

Cousin Chante came for a sleepover. Here she is, teaching Evan how to write the alphabet in cursive. He was a VERY attentive student!

Also On Monday:
Jaren turned 7 months old! How time is flying with this guy... :)

On Wednesday:

After a very fun (and apparently exhausting) playdate, Evan crashed on the couch. Yes, he has Duplos stuck to his fingers. No, I don't know what game he was playing...

Same old, same old...

I know. I know. I haven't added anything interesting, told any stories, or posted about ANYTHING other than my kids! I am completely boring these days, and on top of that, haven't really taken any pictures.

(but I thought this was so cute, so here ya go...)

6-Month Stats

Jaren had his 6-month wellcheck today. Ryan took him to that, while I took Evan to playgroup. This was the first well-check appointment I haven't taken my kid to, and I was VERY anxious to hear what Jaren weighed.

Here's the SPOOKY part...

Jaren's stats are EXACTLY the same as Evan's were at 6 months!

21 pounds, 8 oz (96%)

28.25'' long (95%)

I always said I wanted two big guys, six-footers at least, standing on each side of and towering over me. Looks like they're both on their way!!
